Guess you guys like scraps - I'm so glad! At first I felt a little bad for only giving away scraps...and scraps do sound kinda like bad leftovers or something. But glad to see you share my love of patchwork!
Got some fun mail today (Memorial Day sales are fun but dangerous!)....
Since my husband is from there (and I lived there for 2 years), it makes it that much closer to my heart. So I'll be making a few skirts soon and picking up some shorts to send down to bless the kiddos there.
Ok so I know I had talked about sewing some projects that I couldn't share just yet. Well, now I can!
I was test sewing for this lovely lady...for her new book! I was so excited and honored when I got the email asking if I was interested in testing her patterns.
She was so generous and just let us pick and choose what projects we wanted to test for her. I still have one that I want/need to finish - the cute little mushroom backpack. All my pieces are cut out I just need to sew it together.
I made this quilt for my eldest. I added an extra border so it would be big enough for him to use for a long time.
It was the biggest quilt I have ever quilted (68" x 76"). I got a few puckers on the back but I don't care (anymore) and I know he doesn't.
The back is just pieced with big pieces of boy-ish fabric.
This bag has gotten a lot of use lately - at first I was nervous about the zipper but it was actually really easy to put in - and I love it!
