Moved

So yesterday I moved all my fabric so it would be closer to where I actually sew.

When I re-arranged my room a few weeks ago, I put the shelf with all the fabric in an awkward place and was feeling like I couldn't really get to things easily.

So now I can't buy anymore fabric since nothing else will fit - LOL!

I have a bunch of random things today:

I am looking for a good pattern/idea to use for November for A Notion or Two - I'm using LOVE by Amy Butler...

Anyone have any great ideas/links?

I also got an email today about giving away some sets of these stamps on my blog - I'll set up a post when they get here - fun right?!

Bought myself a few embroidery patterns from this cute shop to make for this swap....I love the princess and the pea - it's so cute!

And we are definitely doing this art project for our next Art co-op class. I'm going to read the book and then we can all make our own "wild things". I first saw it here - always amazing ideas!

OK I need to stop playing with this new toy and actually go sew - my list is getting longer and longer!

Back in the saddle - sorta

Ok I'm finally back (I think)....been sick with a cold this past week but am finally feeling better today.

I've been so un-motivated this week - I'm sure it's because of the cold but still.

I did finally get a little sewing in today. I tinkered around with a few quilts I need to finish up but my brain just wasn't in it so instead I started a new project.

A quilted runner for the top of a small bookcase in the living room.  This quilt is my inspiration - I'm just making it smaller - 13" x 40".

early birthday present

Thanks again so much for all the orders and nice emails from everyone.

I had some requests for quilting magazines and scrap bags so I added a few into the store and now I'm done - really this time!

My dad gave me this today as an early birthday present. He bought my mom a new one and so he inherited the old one and never used it so he gave it to me - yeah!

I would love to spend the day playing with it but I first I need to pack up some orders. And all this fabric is making me want to sew!!

Here's what my stash looks like now - in case anyone was worried I had sold all my fabric :-) Still have lots left!

Just call me the enabler

So I listed more fabric sets today - whew!

This Etsy selling is tough....I was trying to get around to uploading everything this morning but with the kids, laundry(!!!), 2 trips to the post office - I didn't get around to it until this evening - when I'm sure all of you (except my international friends like Mandy) were sleeping!

So there's more fabric in the shop - and that's the last of it. I still have quite a stash but it seems a bit more manageable and decent now!

I have to get in some more sewing before we start school (whenever the teacher decides she's done with vacation-mode). Soccer is in full swing though - practice every day (for at least one of them) except Friday - which is nice since last year it was every day!

I guess I missed my blogversary - oops! But my birthday (35 - aaahh!) is next week so I'll have to be planning something for that.

Can you hurt your back on Etsy?

Because apparently I did...

Spent the day sorting fabric, packaging orders, and uploading new ones to Etsy and then last night my back hurt sooo bad. I had one last muscle relaxer from last season's soccer injuries but it did nothing.

Finally at 2 am I almost went to the Er. I didn't though - took some Naproxen (which helped tons) and just tried to lay really still. It feels so much better today.

All this is just to tell you I will be loading more things tomorrow - not today. Sorry!

Thanks for all the orders- I will combine shipping and send refunds if you paid too much for shipping. Tomorrow I will have more fabric and some quilting magazines.

Slowly

I am slowly adding things to the shop - so far I have all the patterns and books loaded.

I'm starting the fabric next. I still have a bunch more to photograph and upload tomorrow.

Thanks for all the kind words - I know it could have been a LOT worse. I talked to the doctor and she said it's a little more serious (learning problems and growth issues) when they are younger but I'm hoping (and praying) it will be something easily treated by medication.

I just feel bad for her and all the labs and blood work she'll have to go through - but God is good and she was totally fine when they took all the blood last week. Even told me it didn't hurt at all.

Ok I'll update again tomorrow when I have the rest of the fabric uploaded - should have some up tonight too.

Shop Update

Just wanted to mention here that I've put a few new things in the shop. It was looking rather pitiful!

Eye Candy

It's sunny and hot here but all I want to do is stay inside and sew!

Lucky for the kids we've signed up for swimming lessons in a few weeks and I'll be forced to leave the house (oh yeah, there's always the beach too)!

This is one of the reasons why I want to stay inside - fun mail!

I've gotten myself into a bunch of swaps and got the first package today....

And had to get some more Amy Dots since I keep using them all up!

I also got the tensioned fixed quite easily on my machine - so happy that now I know how to fix it myself - just tightening a tiny screw!

This Wed. I'm starting a new quilt class (it's with our church's women's group - we do one every year). I have to pick out my fabrics for that - looks like a fun pattern.

I signed up to teach a tote class (again) and a little sun-dress class....so far no sign-ups so maybe I'm off the hook - ha ha , I doubt it though!

Stashing and de-stashing

First of all - thanks so much for the well-wishes. I am feeling so much better! I am going to the chiropractor but I feel so much better - it's amazing!

Now let's talk about fabric and obsessions...got these in the mail today:

I have a few pieces I'm posting tonight and will post some munki munki pieces soon too (if I can share them - they are just too cute).

And I know this may cause some of you to stop reading (hopefully not forever) and gasp in horror but....I really am not a huge fan of Flea Market Fancy - I mean it's cute, but it just doesn't do it for me you know?! Guess that means more for all of you!

Ok off to watch Costa Rica vs. USA soccer - hubby and I will be rooting for opposite teams. Hopefully we won''t turn into unruly fans :-)
