That seems to be my theme lately on blog posts. I'm trying to cut back on my computer time/blog reading and guess that transfers over to blog posting as well. I can spend forever cruising through blogland and at the end of the day have not accomplished much. So I'm trying to be disciplined to not spend too much time on the computer.
Discipline (or self-control) seems to be another recurring thing in my life the past few months.
Weight Watchers has been helping in one area and I've lost 11 pounds so far - yipee! This book is what I'm reading now to help in the spending area. It's such a great book and I have been in denial for so long about having a spending problem. I think it's actually a "selfish" problem more than anything else. So we are on a new journey in our finances and I'm off the spending track and onto the saving/self-control track.
Which makes it odd to share all the pictures I've taken lately since most are of recent purchases. My only defense is that they occurred before the spending "fast".
Hubby and I went to a wedding on Sat. and I wore my new "favorite" dress. I had some credit at a boutique that my mom manages (she had bought me Christmas presents there and I returned them - I know, bad daughter).
Anyway, I got this dress instead. It's soft and kinda stretchy material...really different and comfortable. And the bottom is really cool too.
This was the favor - the kids are begging to pop the top off.
Saffron from Israel.
I'm really not sure how to use it..Anyone got some suggestions? I've used a tiny bit in a tomato sauce and a rub for some grilled pork but other than that I'm not sure how to use it.
Yummy goodies from One Hundred Wishes that I bought with my Ebay money. So fun!
I got this pack of postcards from Black Apple and framed a couple - this one is hanging in the hall...I love it!
I have only done a tiny bit of sewing lately...a skirt for Bela. I tried to make an A-line skirt but couldn't be bothered to measure anything. Which of course resulted in a WONKY skirt. The sides are shorter than the middle - oh well, it was really easy and I'll make her another one and actually measure out a pattern next time.
I really need to make some bookmarks for my book swap partner and send them off.
Hope you all have a good "Tax" week!!
