Bread - My new thing.
I bought this book and have embarked on a journey. To make my own bread and not buy any ever again (that could be changed in the future especially considering my first loaf was too small to even make 2 sandwiches out of).
But I will keep experimenting and next time, make a bigger loaf.
It was so easy to make and I now have a tub of dough waiting in the fridge for future loaves. The book advises you to become comfortable with this recipe before moving on to others. Which hopefully one day will include bagels (although it might be way easier to just keep buying them from Costco). But I want to at least attempt them once before declaring them way too much effort.
The mini-loaf is cooling now. I also made lasagna for dinner - yes, I'm feeling proud of myself. That way I can go to soccer without having to worry about what to make for dinner when I get home. I think I'll try and make another loaf for dinner as well. All this bread-making may not go very well with Weight Watchers though. At least my family will be enjoying fresh bread.
This object is driving me crazy..can you guess what it is?
I'm listening to it buzzing loudly right now - it's even louder than the kids which is pretty hard to do! Did you guess yet? It's the pump for our small little fish tank. I don't know how it started being so loud but I cleaned the tank the other day (only because mold was growing on the outside of the tank - horrible fish owner!!), and ever since it has been really loud. I took the pump out this morning and tried fiddling with it but no luck. I'm not sure what the outcome will be but if it comes down to the pump or my sanity, the pump has gotta go (which I think could mean bad things in store for the fish - again horrible fish owner!).
Ok Bela is begging for some bread - guess I'll go cut it up and see how my first attempt turned out.
