Thanks for all the great ribbon help...and sewing info also. I love blogland and it's so nice to get sewing tips from more experienced sewers. I really appreciate it! Here's the binding on the quilt for my nephew. And he has a name...he was born this morning in Costa Rica.
Kaleb Josue Arias Carrillo...quite a name for a little guy eh? In Costa Rica everyone has 2 last names. It's so the mother's family name is passed down too. So the "first" last name is that of your father and the second is your mother. When I got married I tried to only take one of Hubby's last names but got a letter saying I couldn't - Hubby would have to have a legal name change to do that so we are a two last name family too.
I'm working on the quilts for my girls too. I had been planning a Freshcut quilt since I first bought the material and am only now making one (or two actually).
School is mostly just finishing up Math now so we are on a short schedule. I predict lots of beach days in the future so that will cut into my sewing. Did I really just complain about having to go to the beach?! I do need to invest in a better suit before all this beach going happens...I'm thinking black one piece since it's probably illegal to blind people with a flabby, white tummy!
Oh - I just found this awesome list of quilt patterns while searching for a picture of the quilt pattern we are going to do in our church's quilt class (Eye of God quilt). What a list of patterns!
