Thanks for all the great tips/ideas! I'll let you know how it goes when I (eventually) start on them again.
This morning we (my mom and I - pretty much just my mom) highlighted my hair. I have been noticing lots of blond (and sadly, gray) hairs all over my head and decided I should probably go back to blond or else dye my hair every few weeks (until it all falls off).
So we bought this (don't worry - we've done it many times before...it has only gone bad once - right before my wedding - I had to have the hairdresser fix that one) and went about changing red to blond. But we didn't leave it on long enough so it didn't process enough. So my mom is picking up another box and we'll do it again tonight or tomorrow. It's orangey-blond...like a bad dye job.
The mail cheered me up though...
Heather Ross from Reprodepot and fun patterns!
A package of free fabric (since I used my free RME money for this one!!)
and a bunch of fat quarters (which I had to fold and stack up immediately).
I have packages coming from my two favorite Etsy stores too. I have ordered from a few different Etsy stores just to see what is out there but these two are by far the best (in my opinion): Fabricworm and Sew Love Fabric. Great communication, shipping and packaging.
I am definitely making pajama pants for the kids out of the Mendocino fabric - it's just perfect for kids' clothes! And I love how there are prints for girls and boys.
I am waiting for batting for the giveaway quilt and will hopefully have it done next week.
I had told everyone (you know, my family) I wanted fabric for my birthday but seeing as how I've ordered it all already I'm thinking I want this book series instead...I wonder if it's on audiobook yet? That way I don't have to take time away from sewing. It's all about mulit-tasking...wonder if I could watch the Olympics at the same time - hmmm...
