My little guy lost his first tooth last night (and we heard Bela lost her snaggletooth in Costa Rica too - guess the tooth fairy brings colones there).
So of course he got a visit from the tooth fairy - who he totally thinks is real (and it's so cute!). He raised his arms in celebration when he found money under his pillow this morning.
Except then he wanted his tooth to check it out some more. So I had to think fast and tell him that the tooth fairy had given it to me for safe-keeping but I guess he was big enough to hold onto it himself.
I had planned on picking up my sewing machine and doing a Costco run today but the little guy said his tummy hurt (and my mom just had the stomach flu) so I just stayed home instead...and sewed.
I finished up the red on the blocks and then started sewing them into rows. But before I did, I decided I needed to add something to break up all the red.
It looks better in real life than in the pictures and I think I'm digging it. I'll have to pull it out again and check tomorrow.
I also sewed up my improv blocks with some off-white sashing. I love them and decided the quilt needs to be bigger so I'm working on a few more to add to it. I think I might make one red block for contrast like this quilt.
I don't have pictures since it was late but I'll post some tomorrow. Oh, and I finished the binding on this one and it's in the dryer right now. We've been watching Curious George every night before they go to bed (which is great for sewing binding).
