We have a wonderful little community where we live. It's a pretty small town.
But a big part of that community is our church family. Everyone just feels like family - and right now one of the families in our church is really going through it.
You can read about some of it on this blog here.
Their daughter, Brooke, is in the ICU right now and today they are going to perform a tracheotomy. I can't even imagine how they are feeling.
My mom has gotten to be really close with Brooke - she takes her to the movies and stays with her when her parents are out of town and she's been going to the hospital every day so she's keeping us informed.
I wanted to do something..anything...to help and besides praying, I knew I could make her a quilt.
I had planned on piecing one together but time started to be of the essence so I used this star top from my ufo drawer and added a blue floral border on to it.
I finished the binding yesterday and my mom took it down to the hospital.
Please keep them in your prayers...
